Angel N. Boev, MD, FAANS, FACS, is a neurosurgeon and founder of Boev Clinic, a multidisciplinary treatment center in the Rochester, New York area offering neurosurgery, neurology, pain management, and chiropractic care. He serves as Chair of the Spine Surgeons Advisory Committee for the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN). Dr. Boev’s clinical practice focuses on complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, along with the management of brain and spinal tumors; he has also received specialized training in endoscopic surgery of the pituitary gland. He is affiliated with several hospitals in the Rochester, New York region, including Rochester General Hospital, Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester, Unity Hospital, F. F. Thompson Hospital, and Highland Hospital.

Dr. Boev earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2005, completed a transitional-year internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and went on to complete his neurological surgery residency there. He is board certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

His scholarly work includes early research from his training years on quantitative pupillometry in pediatric patients and on pediatric golf-related head injuries, both conducted at Mercer University’s Department of Neurosurgery. More recently, he contributed as an author to a 2025 multicenter retrospective study evaluating the safety and efficacy of a novel sacroiliac joint fusion device, published in the journal Healthcare. Dr. Boev is fluent in English and Bulgarian.
