Anuj Shah, DO

Member, Young Innovators

Anuj Shah, DO, serves as a Co-Chair of the Young Innovators Committee of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN), which supports the professional development, mentorship, and networking of early-career pain physicians. He leads the committee alongside Vinny Francio, Yussr Ibrahim, and Kelsey Gustafson.

Dr. Shah is an interventional pain management physician with The Spine and Nerve Centers of the Virginias. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University and earned his osteopathic medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Detroit Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, and fellowship training in pain medicine at the Weill Cornell Tri-Institute in New York.

His practice focuses on advanced, minimally invasive spine and pain procedures. Dr. Shah became active in ASPN during his fellowship training, taking part in the society’s Poster to Podium program, and has contributed to its newsletter with reflections on early-career growth in pain medicine.
