Jason E. Pope, MD, DABPM, FIPP, serves as Senior Executive Advisor to the Board of the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN), following his tenure as ASPN President, during which the organization’s annual meeting grew to welcome more than 2,200 healthcare professionals and 75 sponsors. Dr. Pope is President and CEO of Evolve Restorative Center, a pain management practice headquartered in Santa Rosa, California with satellite offices in Petaluma, Sonoma, Napa, and Lakeport. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed anesthesiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and completed fellowship training in pain management at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Pope’s clinical and research focus centers on pain medicine and neuromodulation, and he is widely regarded as a key opinion leader in that field. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to ASPN’s published clinical guidelines on neuromodulation practice and fellowship training standards. Beyond ASPN, he has held leadership roles including Chairman of the Pacific Spine and Pain Society, two-term Director-at-Large for the North American Neuromodulation Society (where he co-chaired the Advocacy and Policy Committee), Director-at-Large for the International Neuromodulation Society, and co-founder of the Special Interest Group in Neuromodulation for the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He is also a co-founder of Celeri Health and the Pacific Research Institute, a contract research organization supporting pain-therapy clinical trials. He continues to speak at national and international conferences and consult with healthcare startups and established companies on the development of implantable pain therapies.
