Jordan Lee Tate, MD, MPH, serves as Vice President of Diversity and Outreach for the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN). She is a double board-certified pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, practicing as Chief Medical Officer at Southern Pain and Spine Associates in Jasper, Georgia.

Dr. Tate earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University before returning to her native Atlanta for medical school at Emory University School of Medicine. She completed a transitional-year internship in internal medicine at Emory, followed by residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Emory, where she served as Chief Resident with clinical rotations at the Shepherd Center and the Atlanta VA Medical Center. She then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, focusing on minimally invasive spinal implants. Alongside her medical training, she earned a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health, with a thesis examining clinical opioid use, misuse, and diversion. She holds board certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Her clinical practice centers on interventional pain management and advanced neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation and radiofrequency ablation, with an emphasis on non-surgical approaches to chronic back, neck, and joint pain. She directs a subspecialty clinic in chronic pelvic pain and has led related clinical research; she is a co-author of a multi-center clinical trial of a 10-kHz spinal cord stimulation system for chronic pelvic pain, published in Pain Practice.

Beyond ASPN, Dr. Tate serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and as a Director at Large for the Society for Women Innovators in Pain Management. She holds memberships in the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
