Nikhil Verma, MD is a board-certified physiatrist and fellowship-trained interventional spine and musculoskeletal physician who practices at Essential Sports and Spine Solutions in Columbus, Ohio. Within the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN), he serves as Chair of the Social Media Committee and has contributed to ASPN’s newsletter as a Contributing Editor. His clinical practice centers on interventional pain and spine care, musculoskeletal injury management, ultrasound-guided procedures, and regenerative medicine techniques including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, microfat grafting, and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC).

Dr. Verma earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2015 and completed undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. He completed an internship at Wayne State University–Crittenton and a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Rehab Institute in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a North American Spine Society–recognized fellowship in Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine at Alabama Orthopedics Spine & Sports in Birmingham, Alabama. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

He holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (including its Ohio Branch), the North American Spine Society, the Spinal Intervention Society, and ASPN. From 2021 to 2023, he served as Chairman of the AAPM&R Regenerative Medicine Community. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Verma is active in physician-facing digital education and content creation focused on musculoskeletal health and orthobiologics.
