Stan Golovac, MD

Member, Diversity/Inclusion/Historian Committee

Stanley Golovac, MD, is a member of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Historian Committee of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN). He is an interventional pain medicine physician based in Florida, where he practices in the Merritt Island and Melbourne area and is a co-founder of Florida Pain Specialists.

Dr. Golovac earned his medical degree from the Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago in the Dominican Republic and completed residency training in anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and in family medicine at St. Mary Hospital. He is board certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

His practice centers on interventional pain management, including neuromodulation and minimally invasive procedures such as percutaneous lumbar decompression. Within ASPN, he has written on the society’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and contributed to the society’s COVID-19 Taskforce guidance on bringing telemedicine into pain practices.
