Trishul Kapoor, MD, serves as Assistant Vice President of Compliance for the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN). He is an interventional pain management physician and associate staff member in the Department of Pain Management, Center for Spine Health, within the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Dr. Kapoor earned his medical degree from the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont in 2017. He began residency training in general surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, before transitioning to anesthesiology and completing his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 2023. He then completed a fellowship in pain medicine at Cleveland Clinic in 2024. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

His clinical practice focuses on interventional pain medicine, including the evaluation and management of chronic pain conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kapoor has contributed to public-facing discussion of pain policy and evidence standards, including commentary on clinical guideline development published on Doximity’s Op-Med platform, and has co-authored writing on ASPN’s growth and mission as a professional society. Within ASPN, his compliance-focused leadership role supports the organization’s efforts to maintain rigorous, evidence-based standards as the society expands its educational and clinical guideline work in pain medicine and neuromodulation.
