Zohra Hussaini, MSN, FNP-BC, MBA

Member, Advanced Practice Providers Committee

Zohra Hussaini, MSN, FNP-BC, MBA, is a member of the Advanced Practice Providers Committee of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN), where she has served as co-chair. A board-certified family nurse practitioner, she is the lead advanced practice coordinator for interventional pain management at the University of Kansas Health System.

With more than a decade of experience as a nurse practitioner in pain management, Hussaini collaborates with interventional pain physicians to assess and manage patients with chronic pain and to develop targeted treatment plans. She serves as faculty and develops advanced practice provider education for national pain and nurse practitioner societies, including ASRA, AANP, PainWeek, and the North American Neuromodulation Society, in addition to ASPN.

Within ASPN she has helped build the society’s advanced practice provider program. She authored the committee’s spotlight feature in the ASPN newsletter, describing seven years of growth in the APP community, from a single session of thirteen attendees to a standing-room program. She has been recognized nationally for her leadership in the nurse practitioner profession and the pain field.
