Best Practice Guidelines on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Vertebrogenic Pain

The American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN) published best-practice guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of vertebrogenic pain — chronic low back pain that arises from damage to the vertebral endplates. Developed by an ASPN multidisciplinary workgroup and published in the Journal of Pain Research in 2022, the guidelines review the available evidence and address how to identify vertebrogenic pain and select patients for basivertebral nerve ablation.
