Job Description
Boomerang Healthcare, Integrated Pain Management is seeking a personable and relationship-driven Physician (PM&R, Orthopedic Spine, or Neurology) to serve as a primary treating physician for injured workers as well as commercial and Medicare patients in Sacramento, California.
This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care within a multidisciplinary organization. The physician must be comfortable communicating with payor representatives for utilization review and authorization requests while maintaining a patient-centered, supportive clinical environment.
What You Will Do:
Provide comprehensive chronic pain care for patients
Manage medications, including weaning when appropriate and aligned with current standards of care
Evaluate patients alongside a multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility for internal care programs or external referral
Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose conditions and recommend treatment options
Discuss potential side effects of medications and treatments and maintain up-to-date allergy information
Advise patients on lifestyle and dietary changes that may improve health outcomes
Adhere to departmental policies, safety standards, environmental guidelines, and infection control protocols
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with federal and state health information privacy laws
Document complete, timely, and legible medical records
Requirements & Qualifications
Licensure
California Board Certified Physician License or Board Eligible Pain Resident/Fellow
Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $275,000 to $400,000 annually plus productivity
All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
Schedule:
Clinic hours Monday through Friday
No weekends
