Job Description
Global Neuro & Spine Institute is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Psychiatry to join a multidisciplinary behavioral health and neurological practice in Jensen Beach, Florida.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care while working collaboratively with supervising psychiatrists and clinical teams.
The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood, anxiety, neurocognitive, and behavioral disorders, using evidence-based treatment approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations including mental health histories, mental status exams, and risk assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and cognitive disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management and behavioral interventions
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
- Provide brief psychotherapy and supportive counseling as appropriate
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and care teams on complex or high-risk cases
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Triage urgent psychiatric concerns and behavioral health issues
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Ensure continuity of care through coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Respond to behavioral health emergencies as needed, including BLS/CPR

Requirements & Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted APRN or PA license in the state of Florida
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP) or relevant PA specialty
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or neurology preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment and evidence-based treatment planning
- Experience in psychotropic medication management
- Familiarity with psychotherapy modalities and behavioral interventions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
