Job Description
Boomerang Healthcare, Integrated Pain Management is seeking a skilled and personable Neurologist / Pain Management Physician to evaluate neurology and pain patients while supporting our Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program. This role is ideal for a provider who values multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care.
The physician may be based at any nearby clinic location serving San Jose, San Francisco, Campbell, Sacramento, or Modesto. The role offers flexibility, professional growth, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients with a multidisciplinary team to determine medical eligibility for the TBI Program
- Perform neurological consultations and establish appropriate treatment plans
- Serve as a consulting neurologist for patients enrolled in the TBI program
- Evaluate and manage neurological and chronic pain patients
- Perform spinal procedures on eligible candidates
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose conditions and recommend treatment options
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens for documented medical conditions
- Discuss potential side effects of medications and treatments, maintaining up-to-date allergy documentation
- Advise patients on lifestyle and dietary modifications to support recovery and health
- Adhere to departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, safety, and infection control standards
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and compliance with federal and state privacy laws
- Document complete, timely, and legible medical records
Requirements & Qualifications
- California Board Certified Physician License or Board Eligible Pain Resident/Fellow
- Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration
- Experience providing diagnostic and primary care services in a clinical setting
- Experience prescribing appropriate medications and treatment regimens
- Experience collaborating with specialists within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with the California Workers’ Compensation system preferred
- Strong knowledge of neurology, musculoskeletal pathology, and pain treatment
- Ability to relate empathetically to patients with chronic pain
- Clear understanding of the distinction between chronic and acute pain
- Ability to explain the relationship between pain perception, tissue damage, deconditioning, and depression
Compensation & Benefits
- $275,000 – $400,000 annually plus productivity incentives
- Clinic hours Monday through Friday
- No weekends
